I had an exceptional experience with Ray at Superior Home Inspections, and I truly can’t recommend him enough. From the very beginning, he was incredibly kind and approachable, which immediately put me at ease during what can be a stressful process.

Highly recommend the team at Superior Home Inspections.  Our inspector was Ray.  He was super professional, very detailed and had an 'eye like a hawk'.  Sometimes he almost had to point my nose at the area that he was concerned about.  We spent several hours going through everything with the older home we are looking to buy. We used Superior Home Inspections for two older homes and were very pleased with the thorough inspection and quality of report for both! Ray and Brian identified issues with the first property that allowed us to make a great decision to walk away. I called Superior because Ray had done an inspection for my friend and she had nothing but praise for him and the work he did.  When I called, I got Brian and he was able to come out for the inspection in just 2 days.  He was awesome and very thorough!  In fact he helped me dodge a bullet because the first house was a cosmetic flipper that was hiding serious defects beneath the surface.  A week later and I had found THE house, I called Brian again and he was able to come out again in 2 days!  He allowed me to walk through the entire inspection with him and he pointed out everything that would be in his report and shared his experience and knowledge along the way, which I really appreciated because I am a first time buyer and had no idea what to look for.  In the end, he provided us with a very detailed 45-page report.  We were able to negotiate with the seller to get all the major concerns fixed and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. Ray and Brian were both so professional and great to work with. Ray answered many of my initial questions over the phone and really knew what he was talking about. He was honest and helpful. Within 24 hours of my call,  our inspector, Brian was out completing our home inspection. He was extremely thorough and really broke things down for us so we could better understand what was an immediate concern vs what could wait. We were very happy with the quality of work done. Ray scheduled an inspection with one day's notice, and then had the complete report to us that night. Amazing. More importantly, the level of detail and observation was impressive, much more than what we have seen elsewhere where inspections seem to mostly be focused on ensuring a home sale. My husband and I put a contract on a home in Jasper this month and needed an inspection done. We had our Realtor contact someone she trusted because we live 2 hours away. She had Ray come out to do the inspection. I have known and used inspectors for our personal properties in the past when selling but Ray was extremely thorough, especially with the house being over 4000sf, and we received his report the same night! We were impressed with his explanations and pictures of items that we definitely needed to know about. I recently purchased a home inspection from Superior Home Inspections.  My experience with Superior Home Inspections could not have been better. I will be recommending this company to everybody I know that is purchasing a house in the near future. Ray arrived early for the inspection with a smile and a handshake. He showed me countless things I had overlooked when originally examining the house I'm buying. He answered all of my questions and gave me me some great advice on how to perform some of the needed repairs myself. After the inspection he emailed a report that matched up with his sample report online. It included many different pictures and detailed descriptions of  problem areas. His fees where very reasonable! I called multiple companies and found his to be very competitive. This is now the second time I've used Superior Home Inspections, and I will say that he is INCREDIBLY thorough and detailed in his inspections, which is VERY valuable in buying a home. He single-handedly showed about $25k in repairs that were needed on a home that we then asked the sellers to repair, which they've agreed to do, and we have Ray to thank for that. We arrived at the house 15 minutes before our scheduled time, and Ray was already there. He had already done the roof inspection and was half-way through the inspection of the crawl space. He walked us through (via digital pictures, and physically pointing out specifics at the house) each and every item inspected, and gave us the details on what was OK and what needed work. He told us which items were major concerns, and which were minor concerns. We spent about 2 hours with him at the house, and he answered every question that we asked, as well as many we didn't even think of. We received our report via email the very same day, and it was extremely thorough. The report was 48 pages of pictures and descriptions of every item in the house that was inspected, and a summary of items that need to be addressed. I have spoken to Ray on the phone numerous times with questions about the house and the inspection, and he has always been extremely thorough with his answers. He never makes me feel like I am interrupting or inconveniencing him when I call, and he's never made me feel that I have asked a silly question. He obviously has customer service skills to spare, and I will definitely recommend him to anyone else I know who needs a home inspection. We'll also utilize him in the future for any other home inspection needs in the area.
