Reliable, thorough, knowledgeable Ray Thoroman has inspected several Big Canoe (in Dawson and Pickens Counties) homes for us over the years, and we can’t imagine using anyone else. Ray is exceptionally knowledgeable, and he provides an incredibly comprehensive report covering all aspects of the home, including attics, crawlspaces, basements, and everything in between.  Every noted item is accompanied by clear photos that ensure that everyone involved can easily grasp the findings. He also helpfully identifies shutoffs for gas and water, and he can run additional tests for things such as radon. The home purchasing process can be concerning because you want to be sure you know precisely what you’re getting. Ray thoroughly educates us on the true condition of every aspect of the home so we can make informed decisions. And if we have questions after the inspection, Ray is always available to provide all of the information we need to proceed. Ray Thoroman at Superior Home Inspections has provided multiple home inspections for me over the past 8 years and each time, Ray has been on time and has been extremely professional in his approach to the inspection.  The inspection process is seamless and is completed in a timely manner.  The final report was issued the same day, which is imperative during the due diligence period of purchasing a home.  The content of the report focused on the items that are critical in making a purchasing decision, such as the mechanicals like HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural, moisture damage, potential mold/mildew issues and other critical functions of the house. Ray has inspected two homes for us.  His unbiassed, fact based, supported with photos and measurements or instrument readings reports could have saved us 10’s of thousands of $’s.  We are buying a used home yes, but it is not our intent to buy you out of neglectful maintenance and known problems that you are hoping aren’t identified. Need an inspector? Do NOT shortchange the investment you make by using a "cheap" inspector. Superior is exactly that--superior in every way. Ray did two inspections for me and I cannot recommend him enough. Always punctual, communicative, and is an absolute genius at what he does. The documentation is always thorough so when buying property you can show the "goods" with both words and pictures that are specific. There is no hedging around items, good or bad.
